Mason County Historical Society is hosting a two-hour workshop on genealogy, Saturday, August 3rd at the Stribling Room of the Mason County Library. Jeannie Berger, a retired teacher, now in Kerrville leads the group from 9:30-11:30 a.m. in how to find your relatives. For example we have been researching the Behrens family and found Frederick Behrens (1830-62) of Mason trying to escape to Mexico with other German boys who did not want to fight in the Confederacy.
