Key Points of the Draft Historical Preservation Ordinance
I. Scope: 1. The most important point is that the draft ordinance ONLY regulates demolition. Unlike most historic preservation ordinances, it does NOT impose any design review requirements or affirmative maintenance obligations. Consequently, it does NOT regulate additions or alterations to buildings if there will be no demolition of any of the original structure.
