Our Climate Future in Central Texas
It is not news to most people that the global climate is rapidly shifting, and long-time Mason County residents have likely observed related local changes such as the increasing frequency and intensity of droughts, floods, cold spells, and heat waves. Build-up of so-called “greenhouse gasses” in the Earth’s atmosphere (particularly carbon dioxide and methane) has been accelerating since the start of the industrial revolution.
