Summer heat is really here. We were blessed with cooler temperatures for a few days but summer is back. I have to water my garden every other day as most of it is in raised beds. Tomatoes have slowed down, but we are still enjoying our fresh vegetables.
We had our great grandson, Tanner, visit for the weekend. He keeps us hopping. He is a chatty two year old who talks a lot and I can understand more each visit. His favorite phrase this visit was “I did it”. He uses the phrase if he eats all his meal or if he is playing and his little finger puppets all line up. Great grandchildren are really fun as their parents don’t expect you to take total care of them!
Class meetings continue on Wednesday evenings at the Art Methodists Church. Soup is served at 6 with the meeting starting at 6:30.
Sunday Vacation Bible School continues for two more Sundays at the Art Methodist Church starting at 9:45. Tanner enjoyed his time at Bible School Sunday, even though he is a bit too small to really understand. He loved refreshments and was still eating his trail mix in church. That reminds me that I need to clean out my purse as he rejected popcorn and it ended up in the bottom of my purse.
Tax Free Weekend is August 6-8. I trust that those that need to shop then will do so. I plan to stay home as the crowds are just too much. We don’t have school age grandchildren anymore so there is no need to purchase large amounts of items.
Happy Birthday to Megan Ceynowa on July 28, Julie Jordan on July 30, and Kenneth Durst on August 1. Happy Anniversary to Don and Laura Lewis on July 31.
Make yours a good week.
