Don C Townsend Jr. of Mason, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021, at the age of 74.

Don was born in Houston, Texas on September 27. 1946 to Don C. and Lillian Erb Townsend. Mr. Townsend is survived by his wife Dorrett Brown Townsend, step-sons and their wives, Josef and Tammy Pinter of Mason, Kurt and Martha Pinter of Kingwood, Texas, and much beloved grandchildren Elijah, Natasha, Benjamin and Nikole. He is also survived by two brothers, Doug and David Townsend of Montgomery County, Texas; his sister Carol Townsend Lyon of Waco, Texas; and many nieces, nephews and cousins spread all over from Texas to Pennsylvania.

Don leaves this world as a man who treasured LIFE, who lived as fully as his physical body would allow. He lived among his family and friends, his neighbors, and people who came into and through his Life. They all added to his own growth as a person. He was a people person who never met a stranger. He would recognize traits that governed his own life journey and accomplishments in so many of his community: Never give up. Fight for what you believe in as right, just and fair. Do your best job at whatever task confronts. Give of yourself unconditionally where and when you see need.
