Anyone interested in stepping back in time, when Texas was a land of many trails linking outlying areas with settlements and the only transportation in those early days was by horse, mule or oxen, can join the Hill Country Trail Ride this weekend. Paths formed by the repetitive use of settlers became trails ridden to drive livestock to market and settlers rode the trails around the area into Blanco. Historic dance halls in the area were often destinations along the trails.
