William (“Bill”) Thomas Rife, Jr. passed from this life on January 30, 2025 in Sugar Land, Texas. He was surrounded by Gloria Rife, his wife of over 47 years, as well as children and a grandchild. Three of Bill’s most favorite sayings were “Can’t never could,” “You can do whatever you set your mind to,” and “Don’t tell me what you can’t do - tell me what you can do;” mottos that marked Bill’s life and characterized the way that he lived.
Carla Denise Greenhaw, age 55, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on January 23, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas, after a courageous battle with illnesses. She was born in San Antonio, Texas, on September 24, 1969 to James Kenneth and Zoe Jane Goehmann Greenhaw. Carla was preceded in death by her father, James Kenneth Greenhaw of Blanco,Texas.
Raymond Elroy Singleton passed away on January 30, 2025 at the age of 91. He was born on August 3, 1933 to Charles and Mittie Singleton in Spicewood, Texas. He grew up in Singleton Bend, running through the woods with his two best friends, who were also his cousins, Lona Mae (Hall) Sheffield and Herschel Singleton.
Clifford Wayne Gibbons, affectionately known as "Wayno" to his family and friends, passed away on December 19, 2024, at the age of 74. He was born on August 1, 1950, in Austin, Texas. Wayne grew up along the Blanco River, where he spent his childhood days fishing, swimming, and searching for fossils whenever he wasn’t helping with chores around the house.
Otto Carrol Fuchs, 82, of Blanco, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Feb. 2, 2025. Otto (also known as Carrol) was born on Nov. 16, 1942, to Otto and Edna Mae (Johnson) Fuchs in Blanco. Carrol attended Blanco schools. In 1964, Carrol met Jeanette Springer at a Blanco High School football game.
Danni Marie “ Butterfly” Meiner, 48, passed away on 9/30/21 from Breast Cancer and associated complications at Vitas Hospice in San Antonio, Texas. Danni lived her life to the fullest, was passionate, kind and was loved by everyone especially the children on her bus that she drove for Blanco ISD.
Charles Wesley “Wes” Waugh, age 69, “Seadog” to the many that knew and loved him left us to be with our Lord following a sudden illness on Sept. 24, 2021. He was born Nov. 23, 1951 in Espanola, New Mexico on the Indian Reservation. Wes was a proud Vietnam veteran and Navy man.
Curtis Wayne Bindseil, 34, passed away Thursday, Sept. 23, 2021 at Guadalupe Regional Hospital in Seguin, surrounded by family. He was born in Fredericksburg on Sept. 29, 1986 to Curtis and Sharon Bindseil Sr. He was baptized May 3, 1987 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blanco. He grew up on the family farm in Floresville, Texas and is a 2005 graduate of Floresville High School. He loved to be outdoors working with his animals, spending time with his sons, friends, and family, and ranching.
David Dean DuFner, 76 passed away on Sept. 1, 2021, was born on Nov. 11, 1945 to Hal and Ruth Dufner. After high school and marrying he worked on Diamond X Ranch for M. C. Winters drove truck for Winter Construction Co, worked for R. B. Felps Trailer Co., drove truck for many people hauling grain, cattle, grass, pipe, boats, and just about everything else, and ran his own landscape business.
On behalf of Donald ‘Don’ Ray Boumans, the family would like to express extreme thanks and gratitude for the continued support during this unprecedented time. Please join family and friends at 7:30 p.m., Sept. 29, 2021 at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church for a memorial mass in Don’s memory. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Blanco County Courthouse.
