We missed an opportunity to remind the community to honor and celebrate the accomplishments of our county Emergency Management personnel during the national EMS Week. A Facebook ad just doesn’t do justice to what our community owes the Blanco County EMS staff who tirelessly serve us with an extreme level of professionalism, commitment to high standards of care and speed of response that was tested this past week.

We listen to the scanner during very busy and hectic calls every week, and I am always impressed by the manner in which Chief Oakley and his team respond and provide care at the most urgent times of need.
