Lady Panthers fall in Area round of playoffs
The Blanco girls basketball team is all smiles after defeating Cole 56-30 in the bi-district round of the playoffs. The Lady Panthers advanced to the area round, where they fell 41-32 to Schulenburg.

The Lady Panthers took on the state-ranked Schulenburg Lady Horns Friday, Feb. 21 at Seguin High School and fell 41-32. Previously ranked fifth on the Texas Girls High School Coaches Association poll, Schulenburg moves to third in the state in Class 3A on the Feb. 24 poll. The Panthers kept the game close with the first quarter ending in a 9-9 tie.
