Panther Band wins sweepstakes for sixth consecutive year
Members of the Blanco Panther Band are all smiles after winning sweepstakes for the sixth consecutive year. They competed in the Region 12 contest last week.

The Panther band competed at the Region 12 University Interscholastic League Concert and Sight Reading Contest Thursday, Feb. 27 at Canyon Lake High School. In the concert contest, the band performed three selections, including Brave Spirit by Standridge, On the Kerry Shore by Wilds and Balalaika! by Meredith.
