Panthers maul Poteet, advance to face Industrial in area playoffs

Blanco used two interceptions late in the fourth quarter to hold off Poteet in a 35-20 win in the bi-district playoff Friday at Medina Valley in Castroville. The Panthers (8-3) advance to the area round to face Industrial (10-1) at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Giddings. The Aggies took the opening kickoff and grabbed the lead early.
