Burn ban remains off, commissioners declare July ‘First Responders Month’
After the Blanco County Commissioners meeting Tuesday, District Clerk Debby Elsbury celebrated her upcoming retirement after 18 years of service to the county. The commissioners thanked her for her work. Her last day on the job is June 30.

The Blanco County Commissioners discussed reinstating the county-wide burn ban, but ultimately decided not to do so at this time. At their meeting Tuesday morning, they discussed growing incidents that would likely lead to a burn ban reinstatement soon.
