A nationally registered historic building opened its doors for business in May of 2018 in Llano, Texas. The building’s intriguing history contributed to the unique, Texas-inspired restaurant, Badu 1891. The building was constructed as a bank in 1891 when Llano’s population was booming at 14,000. At the time, the City of Llano was deemed to be the “second Pittsburgh” for mineral mining.
