November is National Picture Book Month, and if you have little ones, you'll find a great selection of both fiction and non-fiction books in the Kid Zone of the library. Picture books are often a child's first experience in finding pleasure in stories and stimulates a desire to read words.
Twenty six Riata members met at the Stribling Room on Oct 27. Hostesses were Laura Tallent and Julie Gamel. Laura Tallent introduced the guest speaker, Mary Alice Rodriquez who demonstrated the art of decorating cookies for special occasions. Members sampled her beautiful and delicious cookies. Susan Cole was welcomed as a new member.
Veterans Day is November the 11th. The Mason veterans will have a ceremony to honor those that have served our country at 11:30 a.m. at the veterans memorial. We invite everyone to attend to support our veterans. At 9 a.m. on the 11th, the veterans will meet with the students in the high school.
