At a special meeting of the Johnson City School Board on August 29, 2016 the new budget and tax rate for the 2016-2017 fiscal year was adopted. After an hour of going over the details and figures they have been discussing for months a total budget amount of $9,923,811.12 was approved with a budgeted deficit of $358,124.12.
