The lady Eagles defended their winning streak on home court this week as they played Comfort High School on Friday, September 30, and against Lago Vista on Tuesday, October 4. The Varsity Volleyball team is ranked 11 in the Texas Girls’ Coaches Poll amongst 3A teams.
Last Friday, Comfort was taken in three games.
The City Council had their regular meeting earlier this week to discuss growing pains in city utilities, updates to Johnson City’s fire hydrants and where to allocate outside funds for child and public interest.
During the time for public comments and announcements Brian Vickers from the National Park Service announced an event being held at the Lyndon B.
A change of ownership has taken place at Johnson City’s Pecan Street Brewing as Tim and Patty Elliott have passed the keys to Don and Crystal Tamillo September 28, 2016. A celebration to “Pass the Pecan” is Scheduled for November 5 with “Zydeco Blanco.”

Another week, another win. Lady Eagles traveled two games in a row to face the Florence Buffalo and Gateway Prep Gators. Both matches were won decidedly in three games. Johnson City still holds their district ranking as well as individual stat rankings held by players.
Friday, October 7, LBJ High School Volleyball teams traveled to Florence.
The first October session of the Commissioners’ Court took place on Tuesday morning, October 11. The short meeting regarded the Blanco County Hazard Mitigation Plan, the old Blanco County Jail building, and inmate transfer agreements with other counties, as well as routine county business.
Commissioners approved the minutes, October payroll and official reports.
