he Commissioners worked through a long agenda on Tuesday, February 14. Amongst the 24 agenda items, they took action regarding the Sheriff’s Office budget; approved the Blanco County Historical Commission; and addressed other funding issues.

It’s almost time for one of Johnson City’s favorite events: the Johnson City Woman’s Civic Club Spaghetti Supper and Bingo. Three Johnson City residents were arrested Friday after a month’s long investigation by Blanco Police Department.
Friday morning, February 10, multiple law enforcement agencies executed a search warrant in the 200 block of Odiorne Rd. The search warrant was obtained by Blanco Police Department who had been investigating a case involving Sue, Billy and Ryan Lamar.
Blanco Police contacted Investigators with the Blanco County Sheriff’s Office to assist with the search.

THE LITTLE DACHSHUND LOOKED SO FORLORN sitting in the shade all alone. It looked as if it were going to cry, if dogs could shed tears.
Normally, cute little Harvey greets me with loud barking and bared teeth while snarling maniacally, the result of too many school children teasing him in his younger days.
Rick Reilly, Columnist for ESPN.com, wrote the following story in 2012 that I believe, in these times of selfishness and turmoil, bears re-telling:

At the regular meeting for February, the Johnson City School Board began the process to find a new Superintendent. They also reviewed agreements and policies and campus reports.

The School board hear presentations from two superintendent search firms.
