The county commissioners proclaimed September “National Preparedness Month.” Commissioner Liesmann encouraged citizens to register with Warn Central Texas. The program enables citizens to receive emergency alerts about dangerous conditions and events. Individuals can register at www.warncentraltexas.org, Liesmann noted that some city offices are also equipped to register people.

One patient received life threatening injuries and was sent in stable condition to a local hospital after a truck rolled over on HWY 281, last Friday.
Shortly before 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 18, North Blanco County EMS responded to a vehicle rollover in the north bound lanes of HWY 281, south of Johnson City.
The Hill Country Law Enforcement Association conducted its quarterly luncheon and meeting on Aug. 17, 2017, at the Southwest Center in Round Mountain, Texas.
Approximately 103 attended from various law enforcement agencies as well as local, county and state elected officials. Johnson City Police and Blanco County Sheriffs were represented at the luncheon as well as numerous agencies from around the Hill Country region.
