One-hundred-eight pounds of marijuana were found during a traffic stop in Johnson City on Wednesday, Dec. 21 resulting in the second degree felony arrests of three people from California. Johnson City Police report that just before midnight on Dec. 20 two Johnson City officers stopped a black Chevrolet Cruze for an equipment violation.
For Johnson City, 2017 was a year of change and innovation. Local elections, retirement and investigations brought changes to Johnson City’s leadership. Natural disasters brought our community together to help another. Natural phenomena brought our community together to watch in wonder. Thursday Dec. 21 was a joyful day for the Johnson City Library. President, Donna Cummings and Treasurer, Alan Dean, of the Board of Trustees presented a check to the Johnson City Bank’s loan officer Barbara Schmidt that paid the building loan in full.
