In observance of Prematurity Awareness throughout the month of November, Hill Country Memorial works to raise awareness for expectant mothers and their partners about good prenatal care and the birth resources available at HCM.

Larry Shannon Milner received his heavenly crown on November 20, 2016. He was born on May 22, 1937 to Mary Brownfield Milner and Murray Milner in Dallas, Texas.
Larry grew up in Dallas and Brownwood, Texas and proudly served two years aboard ship in the U.S. Navy. He graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelors Degree in Government before beginning his incredible career journey.
I remember reading a letter to Ann Landers, the syndicated columnist who could solve everyone’s problems. A woman complained that she had just turned 40 and her life was over. How could anyone cope with being past life’s prime? Ms. Landers replied by publishing a letter she received from a young man in his early twenties who was suffering from a form of cancer that would inevitably, in a short time, end his life.
“I will never see age 40,” he said.
Friends of the Johnson City Library reopened their thrift shop as the Red Door Resale Shop on September 7. All proceeds from sales at the shop, after expenses, are designated to pay the balance on the Library loan.

Investigation of Vintage Airstream Restoration and Charles Omalley continues as Omalley faces charges in Arizona.
On October 20, 2016 Johnson City Police Chief, Randy Holland delivered Charles Omalley to Arizona Law Enforcement Officials. Omalley will face charges in Arizona for Kidnapping of a Child and Sexual Assault of a Child.
Johnson City Police have also filed a felony warrant for Theft by Deception to hold Omalley if he is released from the Arizona Criminal Justice System.
