Meats judging wins state, earns berth to nationals

The Llano 4-H Meats Judging Team is headed back to nationals. The Llano squad won state 4-H in meats judging at the state round up held earlier this month in College Station. The win put Llano into the national competition to be held in Manhattan, Kan., this fall. “It was a tough year,” said coach Joe Dan Tarter of Llano’s razor-thin edge in the standings.
