HLDW Awards Four Scholarships
Highland Lakes Democratic Women 2019 scholarship recipients Emily Patterson (L) and Flora Aleman. HLDW takes pride in supporting the educational aspirations of women in the Highland Lakes area. Also receiving scholarships this year are Trynadee Greenwell and Courtney Blake Grimm, who were unable to attend the ceremony.
Highland Lakes Democratic Women recently awarded four $1,000 scholarships to area women. Three were given to women continuing their educations or returning to school to advance their careers, and one was given to a 2019 high school graduate. The Highland Lakes Democratic Women recognized the 2019 recipients at its monthly meeting on June 27 at Meadowlakes Restaurant.
