Water restrictions remain at Stage 3
There is a vacancy on the Llano City Council.
Kathryn Stephenson, who has been on the council for just over a year, resigned Monday night. She and her husband, Jimmy, will soon move to Fredericksburg. She described the move as a great opportunity for her husband’s career. She will continue to work in Llano.
“I’m sad to have to do this,” said Stephenson.

As the summer drags on and the heat and dry conditions linger, it is time to watch water usage and conserve as much as possible.
Last week, Llano went into Stage 3 of the drought contingency plan, so it is time to step up and do what can be done to preserve water.
There are so many places to visit in Texas and nearby states that it is sometimes hard to make the decision on where to go.
In our younger years, it was finding places we could afford, places our children would have a fun time, and places that wouldn’t take forever to get there.
Officer James ‘JT’ Threadgill, criminal investigator and enforcement officer, brings six years of law enforcement experience with him to Llano County.
Threadgill is a Capitol Area Regional Law Enforcement Academy graduate who has prior law enforcement experience with the Austin Community College District Police and the City of Bertram Police Department.
Indoor camping is not something usually on a teenager’s or family’s agenda in the Good ol’ Summertime, but when it’s basketball or volleyball, there’s an obvious fit.
The Llano High basketball girls worked on a new offense, July 9-11. Scott Richardson, head coach at Christoval, was camp director with his longtime friend, new Lady Jackets’ coach, Todd Lange, watching on the
sidelines.
Matthew Franklin Stephenson of San Antonio, passed away June 27, 2018, at the age of 46. Matthew never allowed his weak, physical body stop him from graduating from the University of Texas, being a real estate investor, restaurant manager, farmer and enjoying sailing his catamaran. He fought a debilitating lung disease for many years.
Most importantly, Matthew had a kind heart and will be missed by his mother, Virginia Rose Walker and step-father, Jack Walker of Llano, his sister JoLeigh Ar ...
David Holden 37, of Llano, entered into Heaven on Friday, July 13, 2018.
He was born in Waco on Oct. 25, 1980 to Gary Holden and Judith Surita.
He is survived by his parents; son, Corbyn; daughters, Mya and Chariti; his brother, Stephen Holden and his wife Coral Gonzalez; nephews, Stephen Jr.
