Know Where to Cast Your Vote
General Elections for the City of Llano are held in May each year.  Mayor and two Council Member seats are elected in odd years, and three Council Member seats are elected in even years. This year, a special election will be held for a one-year term Council seat. Early voting will take place April 22-30 of 2019, with election day on May 4 from 7 a.m.
On, Monday, March 25, Commissioner Mike Sandoval, Pct. 3, brought forth a resolution to rename the new TxDOT Bridge on RR 2900 in Kingsland. This is the new bridge over the Llano River that replaces the bridge that was washed away in the flood on October 16, 2018. The resolution suggests that the bridge honor David and Pat Enloe for all of their contributions to Kingsland and the Aqua Boom.
The City of Llano welcomes their new Director of Community Development, Tony Guidroz. “I’m excited,” said Guidroz. “I asked God to give me the desires of my heart and He put me in Llano, Texas.” Guidroz was born and raised in Opelousas, Louisiana, right in the heart of Cajun country. Him and his wife Debra have been married for almost 25 years.
Meet the four who are running for a 2-year term Council Member seat in 2019. Kara Gilliland Kara Gilliland was born and raised in Llano and is the daughter of Larry and Deborah Miller. Gilliland graduated from Llano High School in 1998. “I have been married to the love of my life and high school sweetheart, David Gilliland for 16 years,” said Gilliland.
