New “Sommerzeit” festival held in conjunction with July 16-17 pari-mutuel horse races
Night in Old Fredericksburg will present the new Sommerzeit Festival on Saturday, July 16, in conjunction with the Gillespie County Pari-Mutuel Horse Races held that Saturday and Sunday, July 16-17. Sommerzeit is German for “Summer Time.” According to the host Gillespie County Fair and Festivals Association, this event celebrates the cultures of the Hill Country, and features a Mexican Mercado, Cowboy Grill, and Night in Old Fredericksburg Biergarten.
