The Lion’s Roar
The Mason Lions Club met April 25 for its weekly luncheon meeting. 26 members and the speaker attended the meeting. “Boss” Lion Jess Irwin imparted the two “great rules of life” established by Samuel Butler, English composer, novelist and satiric author (1835 – 1902): The General Rule: every person can in the end get what he wants if he only tries; and The Particular Rule: every individual is more or less of an exception to the General Rule.
