A Different Entry Into Winter What a difference a few weeks can make! One month ago, pastures in Mason County were bare. There was no grazing available for livestock or for wildlife. Surface water was not to be found. Springs had slowed to a trickle. Landowners were bracing for what was shaping up to be a very tough winter, full of difficult decisions. And then, it started to rain.
