On May 28 the Mason Lions Club met in general session at Nachos, and President-elect Michael Murphy spoke about the paradigm changes at Texas A & M University, where Lion Dr. Murphy taught for many years, in recent decades. A&M, originally A&M College was established to help the nation develop the lands on the frontier and to provide education to the rural areas. After World War II the veterans poured into A&M with a clear vision of what they wanted and where they were going.
