The Bauers of Mason County celebrated their fiftieth reunion June 2, 2019. In the summer of 1969 the first cousins of the Melchior Bauer family decided to reestablish their ties and began having reunions once a year. These were the children of Jacob and John T Bauer. The two families had lived near each other with children attending the Bauerville School and their families the Hoersterville Methodist Church across the Llano River from their homes.
