A Helluva Way to Get to Heaven I don't like suffering. Anything the dictionary defines as "something painful or unpleasant," with synonyms like agony, misery, distress and torment -- that is not my idea of a good time. Nor is suffering my idea of a blessed experience, something given to us for our own good, to help us grow spiritually and draw us nearer to God.
