Containing and Preventing Oak Wilt

Mason County is known for its majestic oak trees, and most of the county is best described as oak–grassland woodland and savannah. Although seven species of oaks— Plateau Live Oak, Post Oak, Blackjack Oak, Spanish Oak, White Shin Oak, Burr Oak, and Chinquapin Oak—are native to the county, the first three of these oaks dominate in most areas.
