So we’ve been renovating, and our dining table has suffered as a result. It has become a catch-all for all manner of stuff. We have found it remarkably challenging to gather around the table for a pleasant meal! Add to the chaos of construction the increasing pace of chasing four kids around the county, and we are finding it even more difficult to maintain the sacredness of a meal together. But I am convinced- the power of a simple shared meal is worth fighting for.
