It is definitely August. It is hot. There are many grasshoppers everywhere. We need rain. It is back to school month and I am grateful that I am retired.

School starts at Mason ISD on August 18. The Art Methodist Church will have a blessing of the backpacks on August 15 during the morning worship.

The Men’s Choir is scheduled to sing during the morning worship on August 15. Their next practice will be August 31.

Class Meetings are on Wednesday evening at 6:30. Soup is served at 6.

The Mason Ministerial Alliance plans to have a Fifth Sunday Service at Hilda Methodist Church on August 29. It has been over a year since they last met for a Fifth Sunday Worship.

Happy Birthday to Dorris Ann Pierson on August 11, John Ceynowa and Quince Lawler on August 12, and to Courtney Brown on August 13. Happy Anniversary to Dennis and De’Aun Bryan on August 15.
