Mr. Stan Whittle is currently in his eighteenth year of education and twelfth year as an educational leader. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Lubbock Christian University where he was also a member of the LCU Chaparral baseball team. He was a middle infielder going in but quickly found a home in centerfield, which he loved He received his Master’s degree from Texas Tech University in Educational Leadership.

The 2018 Mason County Livestock Show & Expo is just a few short weeks away, Friday and Saturday, January 5-6 at the Fort Mason Park Community Building. The youth of Mason County have been working hard over the last few months preparing for this year’s big event. In addition to the livestock show featuring cattle, swine, sheep and goats, several new events have been added to the line-up.

The Mason FFA Chapter will host a community breakfast this Saturday, December 16, 2017, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mason. Serving will begin at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at 11:00 a.m. or until supplies last. The Puncher winning streak for 2017 came to an end at the Alamodome on Friday night with a defeat to the Refugio Bobcats, 38-14. The Punchers came out strong in the first quarter, and a 41-yard touchdown run by Otto Wofford late in the period put the Mason team in the lead early.
