The grandchildren of Walter and the late JoAnn Barwise had a great weekend of hunting. They were hunting on the family ranch near Hilda. Granddaughter, Kylee Barwise, age 14, and grandson, Mason Barwise, age 12, are the children of Britt and Christy Barwise whom all reside in Port Aransas, Texas.

Seniors Luke Gillespie, Levi Hofmann and James Durst (pictured) and all of the piano students of Dawn Hahn would like to share their gift of music with the community. Their piano recital will be held at the First United Methodist Church at 2:30 on Sunday, December 6. Music from all genres will be performed, as well as many holiday favorites.

The two stores, owned by Charlie and Linda Reichenau, have offered a $300 prize for first place, $200 for second place and $100 for third place.
The 2015 District 4-H Food Show was quite an event as 23 counties sent their top beginner, intermediate, and senior chefs to the Big Country Hall at the Abilene Expo Center on Saturday, November 21st. Each participant shared their 'Picnic Perfect!' recipe with two judges and engaged in a 5 minute interview about their selection.

For new participants, it works like this: A donation is made to the "Greeting" fund and your name is listed on a full page Greeting Card that appears in this paper's Christmas edition on December 23rd.
