At a special meeting of the governing body of Blanco on August 16, council members once again discussed the presentations made by two entities seeking to promote tourism in Blanco. The Blanco Visitors Bureau, which opened last May in the historic Byars Building, focused its efforts on social media and the Internet, according to a presentation by local hotelier and BVB board member Elissa Barker at the August 8 city council meeting.
