Former Blanco mayor Chuck Homan passed away over the weekend after a long illness. Horman was elected mayor May 8, 2010, was sworn into office May 25, 2010, and he served five years as mayor. From an excerpt of his responses to questions posed by the Blanco County News, published April 28, 2010, Homan noted that he wanted to be accessible to people.
