Strong second half pushes Panthers past Owls
Offensive linemen Brandon Gombert (65) and Julian Pesina (50) push back the Owl defense in the varsity game against Anderson-Shiro Friday, Sept. 11. The offensive line did their job well, helping produce over 400 yards rushing for the Panthers in the game.

The Blanco football team made the three plus hour drive east to Anderson to take on the Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls. The Panthers used solid defense to defeat the Owls 34-9. The game was low-scoring early, tied 7-7 with a minute remaining in the second quarter. Baylor Smith scored the Panthers’ first touchdown with the PAT kick by Nathan Tomlinson.
