Wild Woman Weekend had the privilege of receiving five grant applications for the newly established rotating grant. All of the applications received were exceptional and the selection was both difficult and close.
The recipient for 2015 is Blanco Good Samaritan Center. The Good Samaritan Center plans to use its grant money to purchase essential non-food items such as bar soap, paper towels, toothpaste and toothbrushes, laundry soap, and other non-food needs.

Blanco Police Chief Mike Ritchey said the prime suspect for the robbery at Baker Guns on Wednesday, Jan. 14 is now in the custody of Bexar County authorities.
Michael Castilla, 38, was arrested by San Antonio on Jan. 27 for a "blue warrant" for parole violation, along with a host of additional charges.
The members of Blanco's American Legion Post 352 cut ribbon on its new home Friday, Feb. 20.
The new facility is located at 111 Blanco Avenue in what was formerly the H&R Block office. It is in the same shopping center as Lowe's Grocery Store.
For Post members, it was a day of celebration after having to leave its old home behind Blanco Elementary School on Thirteenth Street, where it had been located since 1937.
