Jeffrey Bous was arrested following an incident that took place in Round Mountain on March 12, according to Sgt. Ben Ablon of the Blanco County Sheriff's Department.
Ablon said Blanco Sheriff's Department received a call at about 10 p.m. that evening regarding a disturbance on Anderson Lane in Round Mountain.
"The caller reported that the suspect, who the caller knew, had set a fire and was now attempting to break into the caller's residence,"
Emergency Services District #2 has voted to have an attorney draft an election order. The decision was rendered Monday, March 16 during regular session at the Blanco Volunteer Ambulance Corp Training Room.
The incorporated area is already at the 8.25 percent state cap within the Blanco city limits; however, 1 percent less is currently collected outside the municipal jurisdiction.
Keep Blanco Beautiful is on a campaign to spruce up the community and tackle refuse as the annual "Don't Mess with Texas Trash-Off" returns. It is all part of "The Great American Clean Up" which is held annually from March 1-May 31.
The clean up is the nation's largest community improvement plan, said KBB's Retta Martin.
"KBB will partner with the City of Blanco on April 18 for the 16th annual city wide cleanup and ninth annual Blanco River cleanup,"
At the March 10 meeting of the governing body of Blanco, Mayor pro Tempore Bobby McClung addressed concerns of stakeholders in the disbursement of Hotel Occupancy Taxes (HOT funds) in his Mayor's Comments.
