The November 2 meeting of Blanco's Planning and Zoning Commission was well-attended by citizens who have felt the effects of zoning and signage ordinances. Three pastors from the Blanco Ministerial Alliance—Bobby Leggett of Trinity Lutheran Church, Carlos Cloyd of Blanco United Methodist Church, and Bill Gernenz of First Baptist Church—asked to be exempt from fees for signage advertising special events which, in Cloyd's words, "support the community."
The Blanco County Commissioners met for a specially called meeting on October 27, 2015 with all Commissioners present.
The burn ban was lifted for Blanco County.
The Commissioners had previously given county employees 2 floating holidays and eliminating Good Friday as a holiday. County employee feedback shows that most employees preferred having Good Friday as a holiday.

The Blanco Panthers' dominant play continued this past Thursday night as the Panthers defeated the visiting Poth Pirates in Blanco's final home game of the season to clinch the District 14AAA Division II Championship. While the Panther offense scored in every quarter, the defense continued its stellar play with their fifth shut-out of the season.
Blanco took an early lead in the first quarter on a Chase Horton 7 yard run with 8:19 left in the quarter.
The Lady Panther volleyball team closed out the regular season on Tuesday, October 27 with a district win over the Florence Lady Buffalo, 3-0. Set scores were 25-13, 25-14, and 25-13. Malyn Valliant blasted 12 kills and 2 aces. Skylar Burns, Gracie Edmondson, and Brenna Wallace each hit 1 block.
The 8th grade Panther football team beat the Karnes City Badgers 23-0 on Thursday, October 22. Aaron Daniels kicked off for the Panthers to the Karnes City 35 yard line. Kanyan Braun and Gunnar Granberg made stops on the Badger's first offensive possession. On the third down play Braun recovered a KC fumble at the 40.
On Thursday, October 22 the 7th grade Panther football team soundly defeated the Karnes City Badgers, 44-0. Ozzy Tackett kicked off for Blanco to start the game. Kaileb Webster stopped the Badger on the return at the Karnes City 41. Jackson Cress made a tackle for a 6 yard loss in the KC backfield.
As a school administrator I was always looking for ways to recognize accomplishment. It was relatively easy in a school of 340 students but it became somewhat more difficult in a school of 3,200. Over the years, I had experience in both settings and everything in-between.

I encourage you to read Eph 4:17-24. Verses 22-24 say, "That ye put off (cast off, lay aside) concerning the former conversation (behavior, conduct) the old man (nature), which is corrupt (ruined, defiled) according to the deceitful lusts (desires); And be renewed (renovated, reformed) in the spirit of your mind (be spiritually minded); And that ye put on (be clothed with) the new man (nature), which after (according to) God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
