The final concert of the Arts in the Park Spring Series in Bindseil Park last Friday evening was a resounding success. Despite the forecast of rain, the skies were clear. A crowd of nearly 200 people enjoyed the Paul Glasse Quartet who put on an outstanding performance of musicianship and great entertainment.
The Blanco High School UIL Academic Team brought home their fourth Region IV-AAA championship in a row, winning by 100 points and qualifying 11 students for the state meet in nine events.
The team scored 233 total points with Industrial-Vanderbilt in second at 133. Thirty-one schools scored regional points by individuals placing 1st-6th or teams placing 1st at the meet held at Texas State University in San Marcos on April 22-23.
