July is First Responders Month
At the July 11 meeting of the governing body of Blanco, council members voted to adopt a Proclamation honoring members of Blanco’s police, fire, and EMS departments. Because of a brush fire in progress north of Johnson City at the time of the meeting, only Police Chief Mike Ritchey was present to accept his certificate.
Blanco County crews worked overnight Tuesday, July 11 and through Wednesday, July 12 to oversee cleanup operations and extinguish hot spots of a vegetation fire that consumed over 350 acres in rural Blanco County and injured none.
The fire began early afternoon on Tuesday when reports say a resident near FM 1323 and Trails End Road was barbecuing.

The reality of heaven and hell are all around. There is hell and heaven on earth. Disciples of Jesus are given the privilege of bringing heaven to earth as in the Lord’s Prayer, “…your kingdom come your will be done on earth as in heaven.” Since God’s primary characteristic trait is love it follows God’s people should be consumed by love and affirmation.

Blanco Good Samaritan Center is grateful for the generosity of its donors. We thank you for your continued support. Without your contributions, we couldn’t support the Center’s mission to serve those in need in this county.
