Defeating Ranked Lady Eagles
The clash of district rivals, the Blanco Lady Panthers and the Johnson City Lady Eagles, proved to be as exciting as always. The teams entered the Friday, Sept. 22 game with one loss each to district leader Lago Vista. The Panthers won 3-1 with set scores 25-23, 10-25, 25-20 and 28-26.
James Emil Meurer, 88, of Blanco passed away on Monday, Sept. 18, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Visitation was held Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017, from 3 to 5 p.m., with Rosary at 5 p.m. at Crofts-Crow Funeral Chapel. Mass was held on Friday, Sept. 22, 2017, at 10 a.m.
