he Panthers traveled to Giddings to face the Boling Bulldogs in post-season play on Friday, Nov. 17. Captains Peyton Van Dyke, Griffin Wearden, Chail Knoll, and Wyatt Perkins won the coin toss and deferred to the second half. Zach Rogers kicked off for the Panthers and Tristan Fortner sliced through for the take down.

KBB has joined with Hill Country Alliance, The Nature Conservancy, and Texas Parks & Wildlife Department in the restoration of the riparian at Town Creek. On November 14th, KBB held a “Kick Off’ for the riparian restoration of Town Creek. Ryan McGillicuddy from Texas Parks & Wildlife and students from Blanco High School gathered together at Town Creek to begin work. Ryan provided the students with background information before diving into the projects of the day.

Prepare to be delighted during the spectacular light display in Johnson City. This year marks the 28th anniversary of Lights Spectacular, Hill Country Style. Proclaimed as “the centerpiece of one of the biggest shows on the Texas Hill Country Regional Christmas Lighting Trail” by Southern Living magazine, it features a courthouse that “shines brighter than the star of Bethlehem.” The entire town is bathed in brightness with 100,000 lights twinkling on the Blanco County Courthouse.

Three local programs provide meal delivery services seven days a week throughout the year to shut-ins and elderly people with mobility challenges. The programs are enabled by a multitude of community volunteers who cook and deliver meals. Meals on Wheels Under the leadership of Claudia Smith and based out of the kitchen at Trinity Lutheran, the Meals on Wheels program delivers up to 25 meals cooked by the Austin-based Meals on Wheels of Central Texas.
