In a state where the population continues to rapidly swell, the sprawling Dallas-Fort Worth region remains a fundamental source for those gains.
Adding 131,767 residents from 2017 to 2018, the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington area gained more residents than any other metropolitan area in the country and was behind more than a third of Texas’ population growth in that period, according to population estimates the U.S.
The Blanco baseball team continued their playoff path with a Regional Semi-final win against the Banquete Bulldogs this past weekend. In the best two-of-three series Blanco won 2-0. Playing at the Jourdanton High School baseball field Friday, May 24, Blanco run-ruled the Bulldogs 12-2 in six innings. Saturday, May 25 the Panthers won 12-3.
AJ Briscoe pitched the distance Friday, going six innings, striking out seven and scattering five hits.
The Education Foundation hosted nearly 200 people for a fiesta-themed Top 10 Banquet held at Carriage Hills Ranch Wednesday, May 22. This is the second year the Foundation has hosted the event.
