Police are searching for a pair of suspects in a theft and burglary that took place in the early morning hours of Dec. 9.
The Blanco Police Department is asking for help to identify two suspects, who are sought after a Blanco resident’s Ford F250 was stolen and the ATM at Texas Regional Bank, at 416 4th St., was burglarized.

The Blanco City Council meeting was called to order at 6:01 p.m. on Dec. 10 with all council members present. Those in attendance included mayor pro-tem Martin Sauceda, and council members Keith McClellan, Mike Smith, Matt Lewis and Deda Divine.
The current COVID-19 city mask policy, which was implemented on July 14, 2020, was renewed until Jan.
Active COVID-19 cases in Blanco County are holding steady.
There is just one more active case in the county in the last week, moving from 61 to 62 in numbers reported Dec. 9 by the Blanco County Office of Emergency Management. There were 61 active cases on Dec. 4.
The number of active cases in the county have increased by 24 since Nov.
The Blanco Lady Panthers picked up a pair of wins last week to improve to 6-2 on the season.
Blanco outscored the Canyon Lake Hawks by 39 points Tuesday, Dec. 8, for a 56-17 win. On Friday, Dec. 11, the Lady Panthers took the bite out of the Brady Lady Bulldogs in a 66-45 victory.
In the Canyon Lake game Blanco led 13- 0 at the end of the first quarter and led 23-4 at halftime.
The Blanco Panther basketball team beat the Navarro Panthers 73-51 Tuesday, Dec. 8.
Blanco led 13-7 at the end of the first quarter. Both teams poured in the points in the second quarter, with Blanco scoring 24 and Navarro sinking 18 points. Blanco led 37-25 at the half. Blanco scored another 36 points in the second half, and held Navarro to 26 second half points.
Joy Lee Wolf passed away Dec. 3, 2020 in Fredericksburg, at the age of 82 from complications of Parkinson disease. She was born Oct. 6, 1938 in Blanco, to Clifford and Emma Lee Johnson.
Joy worked at the Blanco Elementary School for many years. In her younger years, she won the Miss Clute contest, which she was very proud of.
Joy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, CB Wolf; two sons, Clifford and Charles; a daughter, Candy; a sister, June Fuchs; and a brother, Paul Johnson. ...
