Junction Texas hosted their first Up & Back Kayak/Canoe Race on Labor Day Weekend 2017 with 16 paddlers seeking to win the $1000 grand prize. This boat race was brutal, challenging athletes to paddle up the South Llano River from the Junction City Park, approximately 16 miles upriver to the First Crossing, turn around and paddle back to the starting point.
The Lago Vista & Jonestown Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the City of Jonestown will be putting on the 2nd Annual Jonestown Cajun Cook-Off on Saturday, April 7 from 11:00 am -7:00 pm at Jones Brothers Park in Jonestown Texas.
