The Regional Visual Art Scholastic Event was held in San Marcus, Texas on February 23rd. 22 LBJ Art Students went against 1A through 6A schools in all of Region 13 and Art schools and brought back 35, 1st place Medals and One 2nd place. Please congratulate these talented LBJ Art students who kept up the LBJ tradition of being the school to beat.

The Johnson City Lady Eagles had a busy week and faced 4 much larger schools and 2A power Flatonia. The Lady Eagles played very well in all the games and showed improvement in each game. The Lady Eagles lost a heart breaker to Canyon Lake to start the week, the Lady Eagles lost the game in the last inning.
The Johnson City Eagles traveled to Taylor Friday night to face the Ducks. Taylor is a regular in the 4A state playoffs and this years Duck team should keep that playoff streak going.
The Eagles had just one practice with all of their varsity players because of the basketball playoffs. Gage Schnitz went from dishing out assists on Tuesday to pitching on Friday.
On Thursday, February 18th, we traveled to Fredericksburg to compete in an all-day tournament against the area’s finest tennis programs including Dripping Springs, Mason, Fredericksburg, Kerrville Tivy, and Llano, and other school in and out of our district.

The Johnson City Eagles traveled to Seguin last Tuesday to face the highly ranked Flatonia Bulldogs and gave the dogs a fight they will remember.
The Eagles came into the game with a 20-8 record and a third place finish in district play. Coach Lewis Jenkins had the Eagles prepared to face a tough Bulldog squad and matched the Dogs basket for basket early in the first quarter.

This workshop will focus on the landowners in the nineteen-county Hill Country region and will bring landowners the message about how to steward and protect their land investment with a conservation easement agreement.

AUSTIN, TX – The Texas chapters of Bikers Against Child Abuse (B.A.C.A.) invite motorcycle riders of all types to join them September 26th for a fundraising rally Cowboy Harley-Davidson and Buell of Austin with biker fun, live music, food and beverages. All donations and proceeds from this event benefit the 400+ wounded, young heroes who attend the B.A.C.A Texas children's camp out held each summer.
