The Darrell Staedtler Songwriter Series met with great success Thursday evening at the Dabbs. The audience, thrilled that Mr. Staedtler was able to make an appearance, cheered as he joined host WC Jameson and guest Joe Forlini on stage for a few old favorites. Hill Country Community Theatre announces its 2019-20 season, featuring two musicals and three comedies, including two world premieres. The five productions in the season include the musical comedy “More Senior Moments,” a holiday comedy “A Twisted Christmas Carol,” the comedy “Ken Ludwig’s Moon Over Buffalo,” the comedy “The Savannah Sipping Society,” and Rodgers and Hammerstein’s classic musical “Carousel.” This marks HCCT’s 34th year.

Art on Display All Over Llano
Saturday afternoon, a June day that wasn’t too hot for a change, an event was unfolding that brought people to Llano from all over Central Texas. Over 30 artists were set up in 19 different locations downtown and one set up across the bridge at Robinson's Antiques & Custom Wood Works.

Grace Episcopal Church in Llano is proud to announce the Ordination of Kendrah Hagar McDonald to the diaconate of the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas on Thursday, June 27 at 6:00 p.m. Having just recently graduated this past May 16 from the Virginia Theological Seminary with a Master’s in Divinity, Kendrah will be consecrated a deacon by the Right Reverend Jennifer Brooke-Davidson, Suffragan Bishop of West Texas.
This Friday is the first day of summer and the longest day of the year, and the Llano Chamber of Commerce is hosting Get Fit For Llano for the second year. We are joining with people across the world who will participate in a fundraising activity on The Longest Day.
On Saturday, June 15, the Llano Artwalk will commence from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m., where participants can venture into shops and businesses to watch art demonstrations, view artwork and have the opportunity to purchase works made by over 30 local artists.

You are all invited to a ribbon cutting and welcome to the Llano Chamber of Commerce at the Pink Cactus on Friday at 5:30 p.m. They are located at 407 W. Young St. We are also returning the waters of the Llano River on Saturday with our monthly sunset kayak trip.
The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, Llano County, will be having a Private Pesticide Applicator Training Class on Monday, June 24. Class will begin with registration at 8:00 a.m. with the training beginning at 8:15 a.m. Cost of the training if you pick up your materials is $80. If info is mailed to you, the cost will be $90.
Location of training will be at the Llano County Extension Office, 1447 East State Hwy.
